In Greta Van Fleet’s new “When the Curtain Falls” music video, the band is drawing on serious 70s vibes in hippy clothes and excessive close ups on the members as they sing the tune in the desert sand dunes. The camera man isn’t afraid to get up close and personal in this music video. The camera angles match the energy that the band is bringing to the song.
Greta Van Fleet performed their latest release on The Jimmy Fallon Show and it was very well recieved with a standing ovation from the audience.
The other interesting thing about this video… it’s vertical. You won’t find very many vertical videos, but this is one of them. From the vertical, the camera and the viewers get a lot of different views than what you would normally be able to see. The singer leans down into the camera and sings with passion. The sky is a stark blue behind him. The video also features a filter that gives it a more grainy image. This new style of storytelling definitely makes the band stand out among others. In addition to their first two EPs, Black Smoke Rising and From the Fires, the American rock band from Michigan is also planning to release a much-anticipated full length album. The band, formed in 2012 but recently signed to Lava Records in March 2017, released a hit single that was on the Billboard US Mainstream Rock charts for four weeks in a row. The band has built upon their success and are continuing to grow their fan base. This new album is yet to be titled but will be released in late 2018.
