Xiu Xiu Announce On Twitter That New Album is Done

Fans of Jamie Stewart’s freaky experimental band Xiu Xiu have some good news today. In an Tweet from earlier tonight, the band revealed that their new album is done. Specifically, the post reads, “New XIU Mutha Fuckin XIU record is XIU Mutha Fuckin DONE”. In typical Xiu Xiu fashion, two middle fingers form an X in the photo that accompanies the missive.

It hasn’t been long since Xiu Xiu released an album. The band put out Forget in 2017, and in 2016 they released full album of the Twin Peaks soundtrack. Stewart also just released a new album with another experimental mind, Japanese noise artist Merzbow, though under the umbrella of the HEXA moniker. That collaborative album is called Achromatic and came out on July 27.
