Scars on Broadway Performs Unreleased Track “You Destroy You” And Covers System of the Down During an Acoustic Show

Some of you may not know that guitarist Daron Malakian, of System of a Down fame, has his own separate band called Daron Malakian and Scars on Broadway (also more succinctly named Scars on Broadway). And perhaps to console disappointed fans that there won’t be a new SOAD album anytime soon, Scars on Broadway has been playing live all the time and releasing new music.

With that in mind, Scars on Broadway is still somewhat indulging fans. At a recent acoustic show, Malakian’s band apparently broke out acoustic versions of “Lonely Day” from Mesmerize and “Lost In Hollywood” from Hypnotize, both System of a Down albums.

The show was at the Grammy Museum in Los Angeles this past July 23rd, in celebration of the release of their sophomore full-length LP Dictator, the project’s first record in 10 years. Other than the SOAD covers, the show included the live debut of Dictator single “Til the End” and an as-of-yet unreleased track titled “You Destroy You.”
