Astronautilis and P.O.S Bring Back Four Fists with Two New Songs “Nobody’s Biz” and “G.D.F.R.”

P.O.S and Astronautalis, who together form Four Fists, have released two new songs via Doomtree records, “Nobody’s Biz” and “G.D.F.R.,” their first new material since their 2013 self-titled debut, Consequence of Sound reports.

“Nobody’s Biz” features an aggressive style backed by jacked beats and smooth transitions. Lyrics about wanting a Glock in the auto cause he “don’t trust the cops” puts a confrontational spin on the track while “G.D.F.R” balances the two-track release with a more relaxed and reflective tone likely to boost warm summertime evenings.

Astronautalis is based out of Minneapolis, Minnesota, and has previously released five solo studio albums including You and Yer Good Ideas (2003), The Mighty Ocean & Nine Dark Theaters (2006), Pomegranate (2008), This is Our Science (2011) and Cut the Body Loose (2016). He is a descendant of James Hepburn, 4th Earl of Bothwell, and has described his style as “historical fiction hip-hop.”

P.O.S also hails out of Minneapolis and is a founding member of the hip-hop collective Doomtree which includes members Dessa, Cecil Otter, Sims, Mike Mictlan, Paper Tiger and Lazerbeak. The rapper has previously released five solo studio albums including Ipecac Neat (2004), Audition (2006), Never Better (2009), We Don’t Even Live Here (2012) and Chill, dummy (2017).

The duo’s debut, which included “Please Go” and “MMMMMHMMMMM,” is the result of their collaboration during an especially savage Minnesota winter. Doomtree characterizes the debut as a “noir approach” that “yields an entirely new sound.”
