Underoath Announce Winter 2018 Tour Dates

Underoath have announced a North American tour this fall with support from acts Dance Gavin Dance and The Plot in You, Loudwire reports.

Earlier this year, the veteran metalcore band out of Tampa, Florida dropped Erase Me, marking their first record in eight years. The band then embarked on the “No Fix” North American tour where they were joined by Dance Gavin Dance, Veil of Maya and LIMBS.

Keyboardist Chris Dudley recently spoke about the upcoming tour, saying, “We’re dang excited to finally announce the Erase Me U.S tour. We’re bringing along Dance Gavin Dance, a special guest that we think people are going to be pretty pumped on (patience!), and The Plot In You.”

He went on to say, “We’ve also already started working hard on the show itself to make it something unlike anything we’ve done before. So, between that and the lineup, this is basically gonna be insane.”

Dance Gavin Dance released their eighth studio album, Artificial Selection, in June of 2018. During an interview with Dead Press!, the band discussed their writing process for the new album, saying, “It’s kind of all over the place, because I was thinking, ‘Singles! Just think of all the different styles, and just make a catchier song in that style!,’ so I feel like this record is pretty diverse. It’s my favorite one so far.”

The Plot in You also released a new record in 2018. Dispose is the group’s fourth studio album and was released via Fearless Records. Frontman Landon Tewers spoke about how the album was inspired by a specific relationship during his interview with Substream Magazine: “Life was just throwing me curveballs. I think that’s another reason why this record might be the most unique out of all of our other ones because this one is about what was happening as the album was created.”
