Mike Shinoda Unleashes New Video for “Lift Off” Featuring Chino Moreno of Deftones and Machine Gun Kelly

Although there has not been any new music recently released by Linkin Park, it does not mean the members of the band haven’t been working on new music. In fact, co-founder of the abovementioned band has just released a new music video for his song “Lift Off” as according to online publication The PRP.

The video opens and you can see Shinoda working on some new music in his studio, possibly this very song. A small piano melody plays through the air as it finds its center within the music. Some background vocals join in to introduce the song and, soon, Mike’s vocals come through as the Linkin Park’s frontman spits rhymes with a flow so solid that Tupac and Biggie just dropped their mics way out in Cuba. The simple beat plays quietly throughout the song while Shinoda raps about his music career in his own studio. Shots go back and forth between Mike and his special guests. As the song carries on we begin to see guest spots from other rappers and musicians such as Chino Moreno of Deftones and Machine Gun Kelly.

The whole video is shot in black and white, which gives an amazing focal point on the music even though there is a visual representation accompanying the music. The video and song is a solid four minute art piece full of emotion heart, and talent permeating through the pixels of whichever screen it happens to play on. If you are as enticed as I am then check out the whole video below. “Lift Off” is a single off Mike Shinoda’s solo work titled Post Traumatic, which is available on all streaming sites.
