Black Moth Super Rainbow Announce Fall 2018 Tour Dates

Lo-fi experimental electronic group Black Moth Super Rainbow have announced a run of fall tour dates, dubbed the “Panic Blooms Tour” with The Stargazer Lillies serving as direct support. The 12-date tour will primarily focus on West Coast markets, including two stops in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Black Moth Super Rainbow just recently released their first new album in six years earlier this year in the form of the awesome Panic Blooms, which has garnered some of the group’s highest praise for its outrageous blend of psychedelia, synth-pop, and warped indie lo-fi. For the past fifteen years, Black Moth Super Rainbow has been steadily growing its fanbase and churning out plenty of acclaimed and influential recordings.

Founded by lead singer Tobacco in 2002 after the fusion of a couple of other local acts in the Pittsburgh area, the group has maintained a high-quality musical output ever since their inception, along with a trippy visual style. Tobacco utilizes plenty of wild analog synths and vocoders to give himself one of the most distinctive voices out there. The group is one of the most intriguing live acts in the lo-fi/indie underground as their adventurous music fits perfectly with a visually stunning light show, with many of the projections recalling classic ’60’s psychedelic music. Based on their most recent tours, you can expect Black Moth Super Rainbow to bring plenty of trippy and zany moments to the stage, making for one of the more impressive live experiences one can see in 2018.
