Berserker Music Festival Announces 2018 Lineup Featuring Philip H. Anselmo and The Illegals, Tombs and King Parrot

Berserker Festival returns for it’s 5th year with an ear-splitting lineup that includes both national and local acts. What began as a four-day festival in the heart of winter, is now a one-day festival taking place Friday, September 28th also, coincidentally, World Rabies Day.

Festival organizers Shawn Knight and his wife began Berserker in 2014. The winter festival took place inside tented areas, over the course of four days and included over 50 bands. Now in it’s fifth year, Berserker has been paired down to a one-day event with three stages and returns to last year’s historic venue, The Crofoot.

According to an article by THEPRP, among this year’s performances are local Detroit, Michigan bands Battlecross, The Armed, Negative Approach and festival organizer Shawn Knight’s band, Child Bite. See full lineup and ticket information below.

Philip Anselmo and the Illegals will kick off their tour with King Parrot starting in September, Originally slated to begin in spring, the tour was postponed following Anselmo’s back surgery. Anselmo, former front man of metal band, Pantera, owns Housecore Records, which released Choosing Mental Illness As A Virtue, his current band’s sophomore release.

Melbourne, Australia, grindcore rockers, King Parrot, released their latest LP Ugly Produce in December of last year and toured the US this spring with Detroit’s Child Bite.
