Raleigh, North Carolina progressive metal band Between the Buried and Me have released a series of song previews to tease their forthcoming album Automata II which will arrive in stores on July 13 via Sumerian Records. The album is the second edition to their March release via Sumerian called Automata I taking a conceptual approach to their masterful progressive offerings of the past.
The Automata two part album is the bands’ first since their 2015 release Coma Ecliptic and their first on Sumerian. The band had previously worked with Metal Blade, Victory and Lifeforce records dating back to their self-titled release in 2002. Automata II will be the band’s ninth studio record making them one of the most consistent and hard-working bands in the metal world.
Between the Buried and Me will head out on the Summer Slaughter tour later this month with bands such as Allegaeon, Veil of Maya, ERRA, The Agony Scene, Terror Universal, Soreption, Entheos, and Born of Osiris. The tour will hit cities such as Atlanta, Denver, New York and Los Angles before wrapping up in Austin on August 19th.
