Skeletonwitch Put a Unique Spin on Black Metal with New Song “Temple of the Sun”

Skeletonwitch are sharing glimpse of what’s to come on their new album Devouring Radiant Light, with their new single “Temple of the Sun.”

The group is known for their skillful blending and bending metal subgenres, with some influences from Judas Priest, classic-era Metallica and Immortal. However, with the band’s latest offering, instead of a Second Wave Black Metal sound, Devouring has a more atmospheric influence. “Temple of the Sun” is frenzied, frenetic and bombastic, a perfect slice of cool black metal.

Devouring Radiant Light was recorded by Converge guitarist Kurt Ballou (High on Fire, Kvelertak, Chelsea Wolfe) at GodCity Studio in Salem, MA. It will release July 20th on Prosthetic Records. The album is available for pre-order here.

Skeletonwitch are currently  midway through an extensive European tour in support of Devouring Radiant Light. They will hit the road again late this summer and have announced an appearance at Hopscotch Festival along with additional dates around their run with System of a Down and At The Drive-In.
