Brittany Howard, and her supergroup, Bermuda Triangle, shared the new single “Till the End of Days,” Paste reports.
Howard, who is best known as the singer for Alabama Shakes, formed Bermuda Triangle with Jesse Lafser and Becca Mancari in 2017. According to NPR, Howard and Mancari facetiously described the trio’s formation in an email, claiming they had met “in a church of Scientology.”
Mancari spoke about the group’s creative perspective, saying, “We just sit on each other’s porches and play music.” She goes on to say, “It’s the music that I remember that I used to play before I even came to Nashville, when people just played for fun. That’s my side of the story at least.”
In September 2017, Bermuda shared the single, “Rosey,” first released on Lafser’s album Raised on the Plains (2015). The group later released the single “Suzanne,” in October of 2017.
In an interview with Bullet Music, Howard spoke about the group’s common musical influences, saying, “I think we all have different influences, some common influences include Bjork, Missy Elliot, David Bowie and Prince. I think all of these artists have/had something to say in a very unique way.”
The new single, “Till the End of Days,” written by Lafser, eloquently combines the group’s three unique voices while showcasing a lyrical sensibility. The group sings, “Maybe God, maybe God, maybe God does exist / Because of the way you look at me / On mornings like this.”
