Ryan Adams Says He Has Four Records on the Shelf and Teases Blackhole Album

Ryan Adams continues to show his fans some love. After teasing fans earlier this year with pictures and videos of him in the studio and giving his fans updates on new music, the singer recently gave fans an update on even more music. He tweeted that he has “4 records on shelf,” teasing his albums Blackhole, Prisoner 2, and Prisoner 3.  The albums will be follow-ups to his 2017 album Prisoner, his sixteenth album. Prisoner received much critical acclaim, with mxdwn giving it a High Fidelity and saying its as “classic and resilient as ever.”

Adams also hinted at possible live performance for fans that would take place at the Capitol Theatre. He then followed up with another tweet stating “I have amazing fans. I want them to be able to hear my songs while I’m here. Released my way. To play them for you live.” He also stated that there are a total of “69 unreleased songs” that he had recorded over a summer.

According to Stereogum, Adams teased the Blackhole album’s cover art and stated in a lengthy caption that is about the music and using that music to heal others. “This is just about music. A small but important thing that helps heal and keeps some hope alive for us all.” He continues to say  “I get to listen to it. I hope you can soon too. And so much else.” In the same article, Adams jokes around at the idea of collaborating with Bryan Adams. He says “It could happen. He’s a badass & I have a tape machine.”

Adams recently paid tribute to The Rolling Stones by performing the band’s classic album Exile on Main St in New Orleans, LA. He called the special performance “Exile on Bourbon Street.” Rolling Stones producer Don Was took the role as the music director for performance.
