Pearl Jam Postpones Concert for the First Time Ever After Eddie Vedder Put on Vocal Rest

While it may seem crazy to read, Pearl Jam has been forced to cancel a show for the first time, as Loudwire has reported that the band has nixed their scheduled performance at London’s O2 Arena tonight (June 19th) to allow for singer Eddie Vedder to rest his vocal chords. The band is currently trying to reschedule the date for later on in the summer.

Pearl Jam is currently in the midst of a European tour, and hopefully, they will be able to resume the trek this Friday (June 22nd) in Milan as planned. The band is roaring back into full activity after a few years of downtime, which saw the legendary Seattle group get inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. In recent months, the group has unveiled new music, and they hope to release more new material later on in the year.

This has not stopped members of Pearl Jam from continuing to record and perform with their various side projects, as bassist Jeff Ament recently released a new solo single featuring the likes of Angel Olsen. Of course, Ament, drummer Matt Cameron, and guitarists Stone Gossard and Mike McCready, were able to reunite the famous Seattle supergroup Temple of the Dog two years ago for a rapturous run of tour dates.
