Foo Fighters and Guns N’ Roses Perform “It’s So Easy”

Watching members of Guns N’ Roses thunder through their song “It’s So Easy,” with the help of fellow rockers, the Foo Fighters, it’s clear the battle between Guns N’ Roses and Dave Grohl has ended. Watch the video below.

According to Pitchfork, both bands were in Florence, Italy for the Firenze Rocks Festival. While this is not the first time Grohl and Rose have shared the stage, the two rock gods have not always played nice together. Grohl’s former band, Nirvana, and Guns N’ Roses had a decades long rivalry that began in the ‘90s and escalated one night at the MTV VMA’s.

Axl Rose, initially a Nirvana fan, reportedly reached out to Kurt Cobain numerous times to bring the two bands together for a tour and Cobain declined. According to an article in Rolling Stone, both singers took turns publicly insulting one another at every opportunity. After Cobain’s suicide in 1994, members of Guns N’ Roses offered their condolences to the remaining Nirvana members, and peace was restored between the two camps. Since then Grohl and Rose have shared the stage several times with Grohl even playing drums for Slash’s band at a ceremony honoring Lemmy Kilmister.

“It’s So Easy” appeared on Appetite for Destruction, Guns N’ Roses debut album. Later this month, the band will reissue their debut album to coincide with its 30th anniversary release.

The Foo Fighters are currently touring in support of their 2017 release, Concrete and Gold.
