Two-time Grammy Award-winning rock band Evanescence has unleashed the official music video for their brand new single “Hi-Lo” featuring electronic violinist Lindsey Stirling. The track comes off the band’s latest album, Synthesis, which came out late last year. The collaboration marks the first time frontwoman Amy Lee and Stirling have joined together.
“Hi-Lo” features the full band backed by an orchestra and featuring Lee’s signature powerhouse vocals. The track is one of two new songs featured on the band’s latest album. The record is a reimagining of some of Evanescence’s best-loved tracks and is also the first full-length album since releasing their self-titled album back in 2011.
The five-minute video is directed by P.R. Brown and includes live footage of Evanescence performing Synthesis on tour. It is mostly footage of the band but it also has other visuals blended in. Stirling appears in the video delivering her signature blend of dance moves as she performs a powerful violin solo although her cameo is unique as she is standing alone in a white room. Blending both Lee’s vocals, Stirling’s violin and the orchestra is a beautiful recipe waiting to be taken in.
“Hi-Lo” is written by Lee and Will Hunt and arranged by David Campbell. Watch the video below.
Evanescence and Stirling are set to embark on a co-headling 2018 summer amphitheater tour across North America. It will kick off on July 6th in Kansas City at the Starlight Theater and will continue to make stops in 31 North American cities before completing on Sept. 8 at the Sunlight Supply Amphitheater in Ridgefield, Washington. A few notable stops along the way include Hollywood Casino Amphitheater in St. Louis, Missouri on July 7, DTE Energy Music Theater in Detroit, Michigan on July 9, Ravinia in Highland Park, Illinois on July 10, and Ruoff Home Mortgage Music Center in Noblesville, Indiana on July 12. Here’s hoping the two will recreate their “Hi-Lo” performance during the tour. Check out their full itinerary below.
