Death Grips never seem to stop working on music as they’re always releasing and teasing new forms and functions of their genius ad tense music they are known for creating. Now, prepare yourselves for some new Death Grips news that will grab your heart. The band has announced their new album Year of the Snitch will be out this June 22. When you pre-order their album here the wait will be little easier as you will receive downloads to their singles “Hahaha,” “Streaky,” “Black Paint,” and “Flies.” You can listen to “Hahaha” below, so, check it out! According to Stereogum, Death Grips have been releasing their singles for Year of the Snitch for a while now, with only now unveiling the date in which the album will see light.

The song begins with a fast drum line playing under a couple of samples as an out of tune chorus sings a melody. As the song rumbles on, an eclectic collection of different musical styles roll through from hip-hop, rock and roll, drum and bass, as well as hijinks from an alien version of the widely loved and inspirational Looney Toons.

As their career has evidenced, Death Grips has always remained as one of the most successful uniquely creative bands who’s following has given them a golden road to walk down. When listening to their music one can tell that all their hard work is for something and that something is strange, messy, and beautiful.

For those unfamiliar with Death Grips, they are an american experimental hip-hop group hailing from Sacramento, CA and consists of members MC Ride, Zach Hill and Andy Morin.

Jeremy Bacharach: Born in Los Angeles, CA, Jeremy has always been a lover of music. After graduating Hamilton High School with a focus in technical theatre, Jeremy ventured forth to Portland, Oregon so as to study at Lewis and Clark College. After bouncing around majors, he decided to focus on music composition and theory for the purpose of understanding why he loves what he loves. Aside from his major studies in composition, Jeremy also partook in sutdying Jazz Guitar, choir, and piano for the pure joy (and the requirements). Being able to write about what has become the main focus in his life only brings more joy to Jeremy as he is extrmely grateful to be a part of mxdwn!
