Twin Shadow, also known as George Lewis Jr., has shared a new video for his song “Saturdays” featuring the sister trio Haim. “Saturday’s is off of his latest album Caer that was released in April and is the second song released from the album, following “Little Woman” Both songs were released back in February along with the album announcement of Caer. Caer has received widespread acclaim, with mxdwn calling it “refreshing pop album” and AP saying “Caer embraces the wild earnestness of ’80s pop…” It is the follow up to 2015’s Eclipse. Lewis was then involved in a tour bus accident, resulting to multiple injuries from and band members and him having surgery on his hand.
In the new video, he reflects on movies and TV shows from his childhood in the 1990’s. Haim is featured as animated characters in a “tv show” titled “Sister Sister Sister Show.”
Twin Shadow most recently shared a stripped down version of “Saturdays” and released two additional songs, “Brace” with Rainsford, and “When You’re Wrong” He is currently touring with alt-J, Beck, and Borns later this year as well as hitting some festivals in between including Afropunk in Brooklyn, NY and the Austin City Limits Music Festival in Austin, TX.
