Saint Etienne Announce Good Humor 20th Anniversary North American Fall Tour Dates

Dance-pop band Saint Etienne have announced that they will be going on a North American tour in celebration of the 20th Anniversary of their album Good Humor. The band will play the album in its entirety along with new and old classics. Good Humor became the band’s best selling album in North America, following Foxbase Alpha. The album spawned many classic hits, including “Goodnight Jack,” “Mr. Donut,” and “Been So Long.”

The tour will kick off September 5th in New York and will hit eight other cities across the US and Canada including Boston and Montreal, before concluding on September 16th in Los Angeles, CA.  Bandmate Sarah also talked about the upcoming nine-date tour, saying “I’m so looking forward to touring ‘Good Humor’ this autumn with our fabulous live band! I think it’s the best live line up we’ve ever had.”  Tickets for the tour will go on sale Friday, June 8th. See the rest of the tour dates below.

In a press release, band member Bob discusses the process of making the album from what he can recall. He states “My memories of making ‘Good Humor’ are all good, and that’s not just looking back twenty years through rose-coloured glasses. Living in a flat in Malmo together for 6 weeks made it feel like we were the Monkees, and I think that spirit comes across on the album.” The band played the Primavera Festival last year along with Solange, Arcade Fire, and Frank Ocean.
