Jack White Dedicated “Icky Thump” with Mockingly Altered Lyrics to President Trump At Governors Ball 2018

Jack White is an American musician, singer, songwriter, record producer and actor.  White founded The White Stripes with Meg White in 1997. The White Stripes released their debut album White Blood Cells in 2001. White founded the Racounters in 2006 with Brendan Benson. In 2009 The Death Weather was White and Alison Mosshart. Blunderbuss, White’s debut solo album was released on April 24, 2012. White released his second studio album Lazaretto on June 10, 2014. Boarding House Reach, White’s third studio album was released on was released on March 23, 2018.

White has been vocal about his opinion of Trump, selling “Icky Trump” t-shirts during the 2016 presidential race. White used Icky Thump’s title track to continue voicing his opinion about President Trump. A fan filmed White’s performance at the Governors Ball on Friday. According to CoS White sang in the second verse “White Americans, what/ Nothing better to do/ Why don’t you kick yourself out/ You’re an immigrant too/ Who’s using who/ What should we do?/ Well, you can’t be a pimp/ And a prostitute too” about President Trump.

According to mxdwn singer Margo Price invited White on stage during one of her performances to sing “Honey We Can’t Afford to Look This Cheap”, a White Stripes’ song with her. White signed Price to his  signed to White’s Third Man Records  and released her second album All American Made through his label last October.
