Swedish vocalist, producer and songwriter Lykke Li just releases two new songs: “two nights” and “sex money feelings die.” Her album so sad so sexy is set to be released on June 8th.

“two nights” is a track that has an upbeat undertone that will get you to nod your head. You will also nod your head to the lonely sentiments expressed in the chorus, “two nights in a row where’d you go I been smoking/ two nights in a row now I know that it’s broken.” The lyrics in the chorus are layered with these that also state, “you been dancing with somebody, on the streets with somebody.” The song is about someone who never came home; a relationship that has broken up that has no hope of being repaired.

This track is also paired with a rap portion from rapper, Aminé. And the song ends on the catchy chorus line.

The second track, “sex money feelings die,” takes a different approach. This song discusses the opposite feelings that “two nights” discusses. This track is about going out and forgetting it all—the problems and the people that cause the problems. This song expresses a carefree feeling in lines like “no call on the next day”, “the sun is coming up, I’m coming down”, “I don’t want to think about you, drink up” and “baby don’t you cry.” The title of the track is catchy and also operates as the chorus for the song.

Her album is available for pre-order now.
