Paul Weller Releases “Aspects” To Celebrate His 60th Birthday

In celebration of his momentous 60th birthday, English punk rock/mod revival legend Paul Weller of the Jam has released a new track titled “Aspects,” as a reverse gift for his various fans.

“Aspects” follows up Weller’s 2017 solo album, which was titled A Kind Revolution, which received critical acclaim all across the board..

The song, filled to the brim with gorgeous, flowing strings and the largely acoustic presence of Weller’s guitar, song, described as “Nick Drake-esque” in the press release, is a bit of a teaser for Weller’s upcoming 14th studio album True Meanings. The new record will be coming later this year.

“I don’t know if it’s indicative of the album,” Weller said about the new track, “but it’s certainly the cornerstone to the record for me. It’s also where I got the title of the album from…”.

“Aspects” is available as a free download from Weller’s website, and is also available to stream just about anywhere. Listen to the cut below.
