Twin Peaks: The Return is an American drama series aired on the television network Showtime. The 18-part series is a continuation of the 1990-1991 series Twin Peaks. A year ago, Twin Peaks: The Return was released and Jewel commemorated the anniversary by releasing Themes for Television, an hour-long instrumental album. A new version of Windswept is included on the new instrumental album.

Last year Jewel released his solo album, Windswept, which included bits and pieces of the over 20 hours that he recorded for the series. According to mxdwn Jewel got inspiration for the album’s sounds from nightmares that he was having. The album was a way for him to find a way out of his nightmares.
