Celebrated electronic artist Jon Hopkins is continuing to capitalize on his momentum with the announcement of a North American tour this fall. The announcement follows the release of his new studio album Singularity which debuted at #3 on the Billboard Dance/Electronic Chart.
Along with the album release are performances at Moogfest and Festival of Disruption and an already sold out performance 5-22 at Elsewhere in Brooklyn. Singularity also hit #9 on the UK charts and #1 on the UK Dance and Independent chart. It was the first release for Hopkins to hit the top 10 in the UK and his first album since Immunity in 2013. Pitchfork said of Singularity “Pitched between heat-seeking acid house and ambient bliss, the techno auteur’s first album since 2013 is a beat-music odyssey that thrums with spiritual resonance.”
The tour will be supported by Daniel Avery who released his second album called Song For Alpha in April and Leon Vynehall. They will hit cities along the way such as Chicago, Toronto, Los Angeles and San Francisco among many more.
