Record producer Knxledge and drummer/musician Anderson Paak. are both beasts at their respective professions in music, so, it’s no wonder they produced a super-duo in 2015. Calling themselves NxWorries (pronounced no worries), the two released their first and lead single “Suede” off their debut EP Link Up & Suede which was first posted on Stones Throw’s SoundCloud page. Using a brilliant sample from Gil Scott-Heron’s “The Bottle,” “Suede” became a huge viral hit with over a million plays each on both SoundCloud and Youtube. That same ear, NxWorries toured with Earl Sweatshirt and Remy Banks and still had enough time to create a video for their now number one hit “Suede.”

The next year, in 2016, the duo released their first studio album Yes Lawd through Stones Throw Records and it experienced instant success across the charts. However, since 2016, there has not been much new from NxWorries. That is, until they released a new music video for their hit single “Lyk Dis.” When the song was released in 2016, the two did release a video, but it just featured an image of an X with a white-marbled background.

Two years later and a proper music video has been released in the form of an animation. The new cartoon begins with a 1970s-esque wavy text that introduces the audience to the song and video with a police siren shouting over the picture. The siren fades out and the scene shifts into an animated aftermath of a party that Paak and Knxledge have seemed to host. With Paak singing on a floating raft in the pool and Knxledge making beats in the bathroom, the two play in sync as they begin their adventure.

They take their gold BMW convertible and surf the streets of Los Angeles. The scene again shifts and NxWorries is seen driving through venice down the Pacific Coast Highway. See thhe duo drive through the whole city in their road-tripping adventures below.

Jeremy Bacharach: Born in Los Angeles, CA, Jeremy has always been a lover of music. After graduating Hamilton High School with a focus in technical theatre, Jeremy ventured forth to Portland, Oregon so as to study at Lewis and Clark College. After bouncing around majors, he decided to focus on music composition and theory for the purpose of understanding why he loves what he loves. Aside from his major studies in composition, Jeremy also partook in sutdying Jazz Guitar, choir, and piano for the pure joy (and the requirements). Being able to write about what has become the main focus in his life only brings more joy to Jeremy as he is extrmely grateful to be a part of mxdwn!
