The Alt-rock band Rise Against is planning to release a new album in July 2018, The Ghost Note Symphonies, Vol 1. The hardcore punk band will release their album after a recently wrapped tour in New Zealand and Australia. They are kicking off a European leg of their tour in June. Their extensive tour will hit a number of cities. Maybe, they will tease some of their new music.
The band formed in 1999 creates music that comments on contemporary society. In the early years, the band was off to a rough start. Over the years, the band has fought to find their identity. Th first album, although successful, didn’t top any charts. They saw more success and notability with their fifth album Appeal to Reason released in 2008. This was their highest selling album to date. Endgame, an album released in 2010, commented on real world events such as Hurricane Katrina and the Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill. With their newest album, one can imagine the band looking back on all that they have created and accomplished together and looking forward to all that they will achieve in the future.
On the band’s Instagram page, the band advertises their new work as “a collection of re-imagined songs from our discography.” The first teased the new album on March 29. From then on, they have been promoting this new project. Based on the description that they have listed, fans can expect many more of their favorite tracks re-imagined and revamped. Their first single and debut track from this album, “House on Fire” is already out and lighting up airwaves. Sounding like a whole new song, this track is a stripped-down rendition of the original. The album is set to be released on July 27, 2018.
