Princess Nokia has released a video for “For The Night”. This follows the release of 1992 Deluxe, and performance at Coachella, and the performance at Showtime’s “SMILF” SXSW 2018 Day Party.
According to the press release, this song is a part of the mixtape A Girl Cried Red, which is the new self-described “emo mixtape” released through Rough Trade Records and will be available on limited edition red vinyl June 22. The shape-shifting emcee has been releasing music through YouTube and Soundcloud since she was in high school and has catapulted herself to the release of 1992 Deluxe
The song picks up where the last video of the first single “Your Eyes Are Bleeding” left off. Directed by Milah Libin, Princess Nokia finds herself smoking and reminiscing about the shows shes done how that has changed her life with her becoming more distant from her loved ones and friends. Near the end of the video, Princess Nokia takes a dip in the pool. The video can be watched below.
