Black Moth Super Rainbow Share Characteristically-Trippy New Song “Bottomless Face”

Psychedelia and Electronica crash head-on in the new single, “Bottomless Face,” from experimental group Black Moth Super Rainbow. The group, led by singer/songwriter Tobacco, released their first album, Falling Through A Field, in 2003, and continued to overwhelm the senses with a barrage of sonic mutations with albums Start a People (2004), Dandelion Gum (2007), Eating Us (2009), and Cobra Juicy (2012). The single, “Bottomless Face,” comes off the group’s 2018 record Panic Blooms.

The synth-heavy new track and heavily doctored vocals offer a straightforward, casually melodic hook that is both upbeat and uneasy. The group’s press release recently described the new album: “It’s not drug music, it’s dragged music, oozing through the muck of the present moment, past mutating the present, demon melodies filtered through the vain search for light.”
