Oneohtrix Point Never Releases Demonic Video for Surprisingly Melodic New Song “Black Snow”

Oneohtrix Point Never, also known as producer Daniel Lopatin, has released a music video for “Black Snow.” This follows FKA Twigs and Oneohtrix Point Never teasing collaboration and the artist announcing the release of the upcoming album Age Of.

This first single from the upcoming album was produced with the assistance of James Blake. As mentioned by SPIN, “according to Lopatin, inspiration for the song came from the Cybernetic Culture Research Unit, a ’90s philosophical collective whose members engaged ideas about futurism, technology, science fiction, and the occult.” In this song, the artist is joined by Anohni, who’s providing back up vocals. The song escalates into a dark tone.

The video begins with a demonic figure covered, later showing more of his face. Throughout the video, the figure is placed in scenarios involving computers, dancers and fire. The video ends with the figure playing a framed picture of Earth like a violin. The self directed music video can be watched below.
