Like soda pop for fans thirsty for some energetic power pop, Kitten announces their upcoming summer touring dates. The band, fronted by the magnetic Chloe Chaidez, will begin their season performing with Mainland for six east coast dates, starting May 15 and ending May 23 with stops in New York, Philadelphia, and Boston. They will continue to provide their unique blend of catchy hooks and pop-scene looks as openers for Blue October starting June 1 and ending July 1.
According to Stereogum, Kitten formed in LA and have been recording for over 10 years. Their new single “I did it!” uses an ebullient hook and brisk pace to propel the band’s infectious sound forward. Mxdwn, recently covered the band’s charisma factor when Kitten played The Echo’s second Annual Play Like a Girl Festival, saying the crowd responded to Chaidez with “madness.” The next chapter for the band starts on stage May 15.
