Devin Townsend Project Announces Ocean Machine – Live at the Ancient Roman Theatre Plovdiv for July 2018 Release

Devin Townsend Project may be on hiatus while their namesake works on solo works but they do have more material to release in 2018. In September of 2017 Townsend and his band performed his second studio album Ocean Machine, which was also released under the title Biomech. That performance was recorded and now will be released as a 3CD/2DVD/Blu-Ray artbook on July 6, 2018.

At first it was believed that this release would be titled ERAS, as tweeted by Townsend. But for reasons unknown, the title has shifted to that of box set. The first volume will include the albums Ki, Addicted, Deconstruction and Ghost.

In terms of solo projects, Devin Townsend has stated on Twitter that he has 100 songs ready to go, in variety of styles and presumably for several different albums. This comes after hitting the studio to record in late March, just a few months after the announcement of the Devin Townsend Project hiatus. We have been given a bit of a look into what these projects might encompass through Tweets from Townsend, including album titles The Moth, Empath which was recorded in 5.1 surround sound and Thank You.

Just take a look at this pristine artbook:
