Skeletonwitch Announce New Album Devour Radiant Light for July 2018 Release

Skeletonwitch is back as they announce their new album Devour Radiant Light, set to be released July 20th. This is the band’s first full-length album in five years, following Serpents Unleashed in 2013 as well as their EP, The Apothic Gloom in 2016. The band has also revealed a new song from the album, titled “Fen Of Shadows” In a press release, guitarist Scott Hedrick describes the song as “Skeletonwitch 2.0… the song travels further down the rabbit hole with more elaborate arrangements, layers of wailing guitar, and strong dynamic shifts. It’s the most fully-formed example of what this band has become.” Check out the tracklist and song below:

Devour Radiant Light Tracklist:
1 – Fen of Shadows
2 – Where Paradise Fades
3 – Temple of the Sun
4 – Devouring Radiant Light
5 – The Luminous Sky
6 – The Vault
7 – Carnarium Eternal
8 – Sacred Soil

The new album was recorded by Kurt Ballou, guitarist of rock band Converge at GodCity Studio in Salem, MA. In a recent interview, Hedrick expressed that “It feels great to be back in GodCity Studio! Those in the know are aware that working with Kurt Ballou ensures incredible sonics. We’re very comfortable working with Kurt which has allowed us to stretch out into some new territory. We’re excited for people to hear the new stuff.”

They are set to hit the road next month along with Orbituary and Pallbearer starting May 2nd in Atalanta, GA. The band will then head to Europe beginning in June, and then come back to the states joining System of A Down and  At The Drive-In in October.  Check out the full list of tour dates below:
