Legendary electronic artist Gary Numan is returning to North America this fall for a run of tour dates, as reported by Brooklyn Vegan. Numan will be touring in support of his acclaimed record Savage (Songs From Broken World), which came out last year (check out mxdwn’s review here). That record was a concept album centered around the blending of eastern and western cultures in a post-apocalyptic world that has been devastated by climate change.
Numan is known as a powerful live performer, and his latest tour announcement will surely please North American fans who have been waiting to see him perform. With a recording career that spans more than four decades, Gary Numan has become one of the most influential musicians in the world of electronic music, expanding his musical reach from his early new wave sounds into more modern and dark sonic territories. While he initially rose to fame in America with his legendary new wave single “Cars,” Numan has one of the most diverse recording outputs out there.
