The ORB Announce New Album No Sounds Are Out Of Bounds for June 2018 Release

Through a recent press release, The Orb has announced a date for the release of their new studio album No Sound Are Out of Bounds, which will see the light of day on June 22 of this year via the record label Cooking Vinyl. In preparation for their new debut, The Orb has also offered off their new single “Doughnuts Forever” which can be streamed or downloaded on any digital music service. And if that is not enough of The Orb for you, then have no fear as you are able to pre-order the new album; assuring your copy as early as possible.

The Orb are an English electronic duo that are especially known for their huge influence on ambient house music. Founded in 1988 by Alex Paterson and Jimmy Cauty, The Orb began their early career in London. However, as years passed, the duo saw many changes to its lineup with Paterson being the only static member. Currently, the second half of the duo is now run by Thomas Fehlmann.

When talking about the upcoming album No Sounds Are Out of Bounds, he has stated: “I wanted to try something with more musicians and more voices. More contributors essentially – similar to the conditions our first album Adventures Beyond The Ultraworld were recorded in. Thomas and I made two streamlined, techno-style albums for Kompakt which I love, but this time I wanted a change to expand the palate, and to bring in other elements that will keep people guessing and keep them confused. This is a more English and less German sounding LP and it’s on an English label, although obviously the music comes from all over the globe and beyond, as do the musicians.”

If you have yet to hear their new single “Doughnuts Forever,” then just look below as The Orb have released a video alongside the new single.

Jeremy Bacharach: Born in Los Angeles, CA, Jeremy has always been a lover of music. After graduating Hamilton High School with a focus in technical theatre, Jeremy ventured forth to Portland, Oregon so as to study at Lewis and Clark College. After bouncing around majors, he decided to focus on music composition and theory for the purpose of understanding why he loves what he loves. Aside from his major studies in composition, Jeremy also partook in sutdying Jazz Guitar, choir, and piano for the pure joy (and the requirements). Being able to write about what has become the main focus in his life only brings more joy to Jeremy as he is extrmely grateful to be a part of mxdwn!
