Gang Gang Dance Announces New Album Kazuashita for June 2018 Release And Share New Song “Lotus”

Through a recent press release, American experimental musicians Gang Gang dance have released their first single in seven years. Titled “Lotus,” the new song feels like it is a part of the Blade Runner 2049 soundtrack; giving off synthetic whale-esque sounds alongside the beautiful plucking of guitar and calming percussive beat. Switching between the gorgeous languages and syntax of Japanese and English, this song feels almost present, but also as if the audience is getting a peek into what the future holds. Although the song feels at peace, the music builds throughout the piece and brings almost a rhythm and excitement that is, most definitely, dance-floor material. Check out the video for the official audio below.

Aside from the single, Gang Gang Dance is also set to release their new album. The new and enchanting album will be called “Kazuashita” and will come out June 22 through legendary label 4AD. This is their first album since their 2011 Eye Contact album. Catch them this and next weekend at Coachella or on the Golden Voice livestream for Palm Spring’s biggest music and arts festival.
