Between the Buried and Me recorded so much material in 2017, that they had to split their record into two parts: Automata I and Automata II. Lead vocalist Tommy Rogers previously elaborated on the concept of the double-LP for The PRP, asking: “What if dreams could be broadcast for the purpose of entertainment?”Automata I covered a lot of territory thematically and sonically, and left off with a bit of a cliff hanger when it was released in March.
Previously reported at “Summer 2018,” Between the Buried and Me have since confirmed that Automata II will be out July 13th via Sumerian Records. Rogers was on ‘The Jasta Show,’ as The PRP reports, confirming the release date. Rogers also mentioned that the next Thomas Giles album should be released this Fall on Sumerian Records, with Between the Buried and Me’s drummer Black Richardson along for the record.

UPDATE (5/23): Between the Buried and Me have released the album art and track list for Automata II. They’ve also confirmed its release date of July 13, 2018.
