Twilight Featuring Thurston Moore and Blake Judd of Nachtmystium Announce New EP Trident Death Rattle for 2018 Release

According to The PRP Twilight have compiled a set of previously unreleased tracks with none other than Thurston Moore for a new EP. Twilight has decided to title the EP Trident Death Rattle and will be released on May 1st of this year through the label Ascension Monuments Media. The collection of music will feature three new songs titled “The Road South,” “Weathered Flames,” and “No Consequence.” These songs were intended for their 2012 effort of III: Beneath Trident’s Tomb, but were shelved for undisclosed reasons. The first single of the aforementioned EP is streaming now. Listen to “This Road South” below.

Thurston Moore of the legendary Sonic Youth had his hand with Twilight during the previously mentioned sessions. Alongside Moore on this project was Blake Judd of Nachtmystium, Wrest of the band Leviathan, Scott Judd, Sanford Parker of Minks, and Neill Jameson of Krieg.

Moore has stated:

“When I got the call to play guitar with Twilight, I knew right away that all other considerations were to be incinerated. Twilight is US black metal at its most impenetrable, corrosive core. Each member a visionary of lunacy and demented desire. I listened to the rough sketches and composed sinister-sonik six string blood cries. In the studio, I marveled at the work ethic and the satanic succubation of deliverance. Listening to these “lost tracks” brings me back to the sick head of trolling around Chicago, killing beers and smokes, and making wasted high energy noise pollution. We fucking nailed it, cross smashing to the grave.”

If there is something to look forward to in order to ease your pain received from this hellish world then this is it. This star-studded and musically genius EP is definitely something to put a smile on your face.
