2018 has been a year full of good and bad musical collaborations on and off the performing stage. Recently, as according to Brooklyn Vegan, another beautiful stage collaboration has surfaced. On April 7th, Alice Bag (of The Bags) recently celebrated her solo release Blueprint with release show at The Echo in Los Angeles in which she played, of course, her hit single about the pay gap titled “77.” During this performance, though, Alice was not alone. During the live performance of “77” Bag was joined onstage by legendary punkers Kathleen Hanna and Allison Wolfe alongside the unparalleled Teri Gender Bender. Words cannot describe the amazing anomaly that occured on the stage that night. If there can only be one once-in-a-lifetime experience for every person on earth, then I really hope this was yours. If you happened to miss it, no need as the freedom of the internet exists! You can watch the video below and see for yourself the only thing that can possibly bring this shit-ridden world to peace.
If you want to hear the song “77” in its entirety then check out the video below. The video features the amazing new punk-anthem that uses the sad and soft colors of the corporate world. However, as the video goes on, the women of the working world educate the audience on the meaning behind “77” as they describe the wage gap between men and women in this country. And don’t worry; Alice Bag and her band rock away the corporate monsters with their music, turning the men to dogs and the women to heroes.
