The North Carolina progressive metal band Between The Buried and Me recently paid tribute to the late Caleb Scofield during their Boston set on April 3rd. The band covered Cave In’s track “Big Riff.” Scofield passed away last month in New Hampshire due to a car accident. He was the vocalist and bassist for metalcore bands Cave In and Old Man Gloom. Scofield was 39 years old and leaves behind a wife and two daughters.
The band posted on their Twitter page the video of their tribute along with a link to Scofield’s memorial fund. The tribute shared may have been short, but the emotion behind the performance is real and would make Scofield proud.

The band recently released their eighth studio record, their first since last April. Automata I was released on March 9th via Sumerian Records and Automata II, the second half of the record will follow during the Summer.
