Sunn O))) and Pelican Members Form New Band and Plan to Record New Music

Members of the band Sunn O))) and Pelican have joined together to form a new band under the name This White Light. The new band has planned on releasing new music soon, as they have already released a demo for “Winter Flowers”.

The White Light is a rock band, from the hometown of Los Angeles and Seattle, that consist of Sunn O))’s Greg Anderson on guitars, Pelican’s Bryan Herweg on bass, Jen Wood on vocals, and Jade Devitt on drums. Greg Anderson, who’s helped release Terrestrials and Greatest Hits Vol. 1, is well known for his work in Sunn O and Goatsnake, and is also the founder of Southern Lord Records. Bryan Herweg, who’s helped release live album and released songs such as “The Cliff”, is well known in the group Pelican. Jen Wood, who’s released Wilderness and “Run With The Wild Ones”, is well known as an ex member of Tattle Tale. Jade Devitt is known to be in many groups such as Lucky Me, Schedule and Engine Kid.

According to THEPRP, the band has locked in studio time with Queens of The Stone Age’s Josh Homme at his Pink Duck Studios. This session will be from April 9th to April 13th. The song “Winter Flowers” can be heard below.
