mxdwn PREMIERE: UK Punks Suicide Generation Release New NSFW Video for Buzzsaw of a Single “Suicide”

From the moment the guitars frantically wail away at a classic punk style guitar solo in the intro to “Suicide,” it’s clear that London quartet Suicide Generation aren’t pulling any punches. The band are influenced by scuzzed out punks like The Reatards, Pussy Galore and the infamous G.G. Allin.

Today, we have the premiere of their gruesome new video for “Suicide,” a black and white montage of classic horror, spliced with plenty of dancing women and copious nude scenes. The clips are often repeated, giving it a hypnotic quality that is pushed along by the hypercaffeinated garage punk in the background – it feels a bit like a taste of pure evil.

Despite descriptions of their sound making them come off like a bag full of glass shards, there is something undeniably catchy about the combination of frenetic punk riffing from Vince Sooicide and howling lead vocals of Sebastian Melmoth. According to Melmoth, “‘Suicide’ is the beginning of a new era for the band. New band members, new ambitions and the beginning of a collaboration on writing songs with my new partner in crime Vincent.” It’s a righteous introduction to the vicious punk sound they deliver on their nine song LP.

The group formed as a bit of a “fake” band, with members of Atomic Suplex, The Cavemen, Trash Culture filling in slots where other groups had cancelled. Less than a year later they are releasing their first album, the aptly titled First Suicide, on April 13, 2018 on Dirty Water Records.
