Melody’s Echo Chamber Return After Melody Prochet’s “Serious Accident” and Announce New Album Bon Voyage for June 2018 Release

French psych-pop vocalist Melody Prochet confirmed today, the release of her second album as Melody’s Echo Chamber. Bon Voyage is Prochet’s first in over five years since her debut and is set to release this summer on June 15th via Fat Possum Records. The album contains seven expansive tracks bringing Prochet’s breathless soprano and giving her room to flourish as she delivers her fables of spiritual search and emotional healing in multiple tongues (French, English, and Swedish).

Melody shared today a new single from her forthcoming album titled “Breathe In, Breathe Out” alongside a brand new video. It is the first song that Melody played on drums commenting that, “It’s a special one. I’m used to recording with masters of drums and accepting my drum playing as not perfect but with the right intention was a big deal to me.” The video, directed by Daniel Foothead, takes viewers into an animated world, a magical universe where follow a pilgrim trying to reunite with his source of inspiration and light, his muse.

Last summer, Prochet canceled her 2017 tour citing a “serious accident” as the reason. Family posted on the artist’s Facebook page stating that they were optimistic about her recovery. With the release of Bon Voyage, fans are happy that Prochet is okay and is delivering new music once again.

Bon Voyage was recorded in Solna, Sweden and features collaborations from Dungen’s Reine Fiske and The Amazing’s Fredrik Swahn. It also features special guests Gustav Esjtes and Johan Holmegaard (both from Dungen) and Nicholas Allbrook (Pond). Watch “Breathe In, Breathe Out” below as well as stream the song here.
