Toxicology Report Shows Prince Had High Levels of Fentanyl When He Died

New reports from the toxicology report of Prince have surfaced, with CNN reporting that he had incredibly high levels of the drug Fentanyl in his system at the time of his death. The report states that he had an “exceedingly high” concentration of the drug in his system. It has been almost two years since the tragic death of the music icon, who was found unresponsive in the elevator of his Paisley Park estate. Reports have continued to come out since then, with many of them indicating that Fentanyl had been found in Prince’s system, and his death was ruled an accidental Fentanyl overdose. The drug is known as the most powerful opioid on the market, and it is fifty times more potent than heroin.

Reports also surfaced that Prince’s medication was incorrectly labeled as Hydrocodone, a less potent painkiller, meaning that Prince did not know of the drug’s actual potency when he took it. What makes this situation even more complicated is the fact that Prince did not have a prescription for Fentanyl at the time of his death, bringing into question how he got the opioid in the first place.
