Ex-Killswitch Engage Singer Howard Jones and Jamey Jasta Make For a Brutal Duet on Video For “Chasing Demons”

Hatebreed

Hatebreed frontman Jamey Jasta has shifted gears to focus on a solo career. Under the name Jasta, he has released one solo album, Jasta, in 2011. For his latest work, the American singer enlisted the help of Howard Jones, vocalist from Killswitch Engage, to release the song “Chasing Demons.” It is the first Jasta track since he released “Deadly Business” in 2015.

The aggressive metal track benefits from the two veterans blending their powerful vocals to produce a passionate song. The new video features a flushed-out color palette. The two are shown performing the song in a garage where it was likely originally performed. Their performance within the video is intercut with a metaphorical narrative featuring a young woman traveling through a wintery landscape. The eerie video does well to replicate the tone from the song.

The Paul McGuire-directed video is now available online. Jasta is currently gearing up for a European tour with dates in Germany, Belgium, and the UK.
