Country icons Lucinda Williams, Steve Earle & The Dukes and Dwight Yoakam are traveling the U.S. this summer in the cheekily named “LSD Tour.” The tour is named for the first letter of each performer’s first name: Lucinda, Steve and Dwight. The three acts are of the most acclaimed in the genres of country and Americana in the last three decades, having recently released anniversary material of some of their most celebrated work.

Three-time GRAMMY Award-winning folk leader Williams recently re-recorded her acclaimed 1992 LP Sweet Old World in recognition of its 25th anniversary. Three-time GRAMMY Award recipient and 14-time GRAMMY nominee Earle toured this year in support of the 30th anniversary of his hugely influential country-rock album, Copperhead Road. Singer-songwriter, musician, actor, and 21-time nominated, multiple GRAMMY Award winner Yoakam, released his last album 3 Pears, in 2012 to rousing critical acclaim. By the end of the year, it had been included in more critics’ “best of 2012” lists than any other artist in the country genre. SiriusXM, which is presenting the tour, will launch new channel late next month  curated by Yoakam, titled Dwight Yoakam and the Bakersfield Beat “Where Country Went Mod.”

Tickets go on sale to the general public starting Friday, March 30th at LiveNation.com.
