Black Moth Super Rainbow Release New Song “Baby’s In The Void” and Announce Record Store Only Split 7″ with Alessandro Cortini

Black Moth Super Rainbow have dropped a double-dose of news today with the announcement of a split 7″ with Alessandro Cortini that is set for release in record stores only. The vinyl single, which is out on March 23, 2018, will include the BMSR song “Baby’s In The Void,” which is also now streaming online.

“Baby’s In The Void” has all the trademarks of a classic BMSR song, with a chill atmosphere, trilling synthesizers and the vocoder-drenched vocals of frontman Tobacco. While the song will be released on the limited vinyl single, it can also be purchased on wax when the band releases their new full-length album Panic Blooms on May 4, 2018 – it’s the second track on the record. It follows the lead single from the album, an extremely pop-oriented (at least for the band) track called “Mr. No One.”

Panic Blooms will be released by Rad Cult as a double LP/CD/cassette. It is the band’s first new album since 2012 when they dropped Cobra Juicy. The mysterious psych-synth group from Pennsylvania broke out when they released their masterful debut Falling Through A Field.

In addition to BMSR, Tobacco has launched his own extremely well-regarded solo career. He released Sweatbox Dynasty last year.

Side B: Alessandro Cortini – “Ipermercato”

In addition new recorded music, BMSR will also embark on a tour in support of their new album. The tour launches just after the release of Panic Blooms in Washington, DC – an appropriate location considering the title at least in some ways refers to the general anxiety many face coming from the leaders in our nation’s capital. They’ll play a festival, Meltdown (which is curated by Robert Smith of The Cure) in London before returning to the United States. In August they’ll start the tour up again with a hometown show on 08/10 with six more dates announced so far across the South.
