A Perfect Circle Make Us Slaves To Technology In New Song and Video “Disillusioned”

Maynard James Keenan, Tool frontman and lead vocalist for A Perfect Circle, is as busy as ever. While working on the new Tool record, the follow-up to 2006’s 10,000 Days, his work with A Perfect Circle has the band set for a tour in support of their first album in fourteen years, Eat the Elephant. Keenan doesn’t make a record for over fourteen years with either group, and now he’s doing both at the same time.

Disillusioned,” the single released on New Year’s Day, is about our attachment to technology, theme further expanded upon in the newly released video. Surrounding a larger tablet/device in the form of a shrine, people’s eyes are glued to their phones in line, shot in black in white. A Perfect Circle will also be playing at shows around the world in 2018, from Coachella to Rocklahoma, Citadel, Northern Invasion, Las Rageous, and Rock on the Range. Afraid of disappointing their fans, Keenan decided to just “put the blinders on” and power through. Stereogum reports that A Perfect Circle’s first album in fourteen years, Eat the Elephant, is due out on 4/20.
