Melodic death metal band Nekrogoblikon’s highly anticipated new offering, Welcome To Bonkers, is officially set for an April 13th release. The new effort was produced by the renowned Jason Suecof (Trivium, The Black Dahlia Murder). The band consists of Nicholas Von Doom (lead vocals, keyboards), Alex Alereza (guitars, backing vocals) Aaron Minich ( keyboards), Aaron VanZutphen (bass), Eric Brown (drums) and their…goblin-faced hype man, John Goblikon. The group recently released a new song from the upcoming Bonkers, “Skin Thief.” As is expected from their past work, the reception so far is fairly positive. Metalsucks says it, “undoubtedly represents their best work in a good long while, if not just their best work ever.” About the production of the new album, Alereza said, “Since this was our first album with our new beast of a drummer Eric, we thought it would be fun to try writing something absolutely pummeling that really showcased his abilities. We ended up with a song that’s far heavier and more dramatic than anything we’ve done before, but still sounds 100% goblin metal. Plus, we are playing it live each and every night on the Rings of Saturn tour, so be ready for chaos!”
The group recently went on tour with Rings of Saturn, Allegaeon, Lorna Shore, Entheos and Gloom, which started March 1st and runs until March 30th. All dates can be found at their Facebook page.
