The Black Dahlia Murder and Whitechapel Announce Summer 2018 Tour Each Performing a Classic Album In Its Entirety

The Black Dahlia Murder and Whitechapel have recently revealed news about a Summer tour. The two bands share a record label and now from June 8th till July 14th, they will also share a stage.

In a statement commenting the tour The Black Dahlia Murder said: “We’ve known Whitechapel since their humble beginnings and have watched them rise to be the important force in heavy music that they are now. It’s exciting to team up with them for this co-headlining tour that’s sure to decimate venues everywhere this summer!”

The two metal bands will be co-headliners and treat the audience with the performance of a full album each. The Black Dahlia Murder will present their latest record Nightbringers front to back while Whitechapel will perform their classic This Is Exile, also in its entirety to celebrate its 10th anniversary.

Metal Blade (Whitechapel’s record label) has also announced special LP reissues for the record on June 1st, and the that the band will have tour-exclusive editions available on the road for their fans.

The Black Dahlia Murder’s newest record NIghtbringers, on the other hand, is being saluted by many as an instant classic. The raw and aggressive vocals are nce again paired with heavy, destructive riffs. The lyrics, however, have been defined by singer Trevor Strnad as not “dark enough, or violent enough, so I was really trying to ramp up the monstrous aspects of things – the grizzlier the better!”. The record figures as the eight studio release for the band and sees the debut of new guitarist Brandon Ellis.

The Tour will kick off on June 8th in Chicago, IL at the house of blues with supporting acts  Fleshgod Apocalypse, Aversions Crown and Shadow of Intent.
