Ministry Take Aim at Trump in New Video for “Twilight Zone”

Ministry has taken a clear stand against President Trump. The industrial metal band has, in fact, just released a new video for the single Twilight Zone which directly aims at criticizing Donald Trump and raise concerns regarding the current political climate.

The video features unusual sounds for the metal band such as harmonicas and cello and slowed-down audio bits of Trump saying his famous slogan “Make America Great Again”, in the attempt, one might guess, to exorcise the “demon”.

“We are in completely uncharted territory now, witnessing the unraveling of what was once a functional democracy. Our government is under attack. Our planet is under attack. It’s time for a major reboot”, said band leader Al Jourgensen, as Loudwire reported. By the end of the video, Jourgensen encounters a man in the desert who gives him a potion to drink and his own psychedelic trip begins.

The clip was produced by Chris and Steve Roth, both Ministry admirers and politically active figures. Chris also said that “Not only was this an opportunity to collaborate creatively once again with the one and only Al Jourgensen, but also an outlet for much of my pent up aggression and frustration regarding the current state of politics in our country”, reports Loudwire.

The video also follows the release of the first single Antifa, released in December 2017, as mxdwn reported.

The band is set to release their newest album titled Amerikkkant on March 9th, from which Twilight Zone is taken and head on tour alongside Chelsea Wolfe, according to the Prp

The group has also announced many additions to the lineup for the upcoming tour, such as  Fear Factory‘s Burton C. Bell, with whom Jourgensen already teamed up for the release of the video Wargasm, as mxdwn said,  Vimic‘s Joey Jordison and DJ Swamp.

The tour will kick off on March 22nd, only a few weeks after the release of Amerikkkant, via Nuclear Blast. The Germany-based label signed Ministry only last year, says mxdwn.
