Metallica has recently announced the extension of their WorldWired Tour for this upcoming Fall/Winter season. According to Rolling Stone, the continuation of the American stadium tour started in 2017 in support of their latest release Hardwired…To Self Destruct, will take the band to places they haven’t visited in several decades, such as El Paso,Texas Alabama, Grand Forks, North Dakota, from which the band has been absent for 30 years and Sioux Falls, South Dakota, which they haven’t played in 25 years, as well as other major towns such as Pittsburgh and Nashville.
Madison, Wisconsin will be the starting point of a journey that will keep Metallica on the road till 2019, with the last date set for March 31st in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
Tickets will be on sale starting March 2nd on Live Nation and the presale at the fan club starts February 27th and each ticket bought will be paired with a physical or digital copy of Hardwired…To Self Destruct.
The band has also revealed that “Following last summer’s sold-out 25-date stadium run, this year we’re bringing the in-the-round production currently being seen in European arenas to the U.S. and Canada kicking off on September 2, 2018, in Madison, WI”, reports Blabbermouth.
There will also be issued 250 “Wherever I May Roam Black Tickets,” which will allow fans to pick any show on the tour and within only a 48-hour notice get floor access. The Band once again teamed up with CID Entertainment, with which they designed a tour which includes three different enhanced special offers and amenities such as early access to the venue to meeting members of the band.
